Resin Driveway in Ireland

Groundworks that make the finish last

A resin surface is only as good as what’s underneath it. We handle groundworks properly — excavation, base build-up, levels, and edges — so the final surface stays strong, smooth, and reliable.

€95 per m²

If your existing driveway is tarmac or concrete and in good condition, we can install a resin bound surface directly on top. This is the most cost-effective option.

New base & resin

Priced after survey

If you have block paving, gravel or an unstable base, we’ll take it up and lay a new porous tarmac or concrete base. The price depends on access, levels and drainage. A new tarmac base needs roughly a week to cure, and concrete about four weeks, before we can lay the resin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only do groundworks for resin?

We mainly carry out groundworks to support resin bound driveways, patios, and footpaths, because the base is what determines how well the finish performs long-term. We also handle related groundwork needs like excavation, sub-base build-up, edging/kerbing, level corrections, and base repairs. If your project needs a proper foundation before surfacing, we can usually manage it as part of the same job.

Yes. Sinking is usually caused by weak sub-base, poor compaction, water issues, or an older base breaking down. We’ll inspect the affected areas, identify the cause, and recommend the correct repair — from strengthening sections of the base to a full rebuild if needed. We don’t cover problems just to make them look better for a short time.

Not always, but correct falls and levels are essential. Often, the solution is building the base so water naturally runs off in the right direction and doesn’t pool. If the area is prone to standing water, heavy clay soil, or flooding, we may recommend additional drainage. We’ll advise on-site based on your layout and ground conditions.

It depends on the existing surface and how the area will be used. A driveway carrying vehicles needs a stronger build-up than a footpath or courtyard. We excavate to the depth required to install a stable sub-base and set correct levels — not a “one depth fits all” approach. After the site visit, we’ll explain what depth is needed and why.

If the existing base is solid, stable, and correctly built, we may be able to reuse it, which can reduce cost and disruption. If we find cracks, movement, weak spots, or poor falls that cause pooling, we’ll recommend repairs or replacement. The goal is simple: make sure the final surface won’t dip, crack, or fail early.
