Resin bound driveway cost

Overlay
€95 per m²

If your existing driveway is tarmac or concrete and in good condition, we can install a resin bound surface directly on top. This is the most cost-effective option.

New base & resin

Priced after survey

If you have block paving, gravel or an unstable base, we’ll take it up and lay a new porous tarmac or concrete base. The price depends on access, levels and drainage. A new tarmac base needs roughly a week to cure, and concrete about four weeks, before we can lay the resin.

Frequently Asked Questions

How wide should a footpath be?

Most home footpaths work best at 900mm to 1200mm wide.
900mm is usually enough for comfortable walking, while 1200mm feels better for two people passing, wheelbarrows, bins, or regular side access. If space is tight we can still make it work, but we’ll always recommend a width that suits how you’ll actually use the path day to day.

Often yes, as long as the existing base is solid and stable. Concrete or tarmac can work well if there are no major cracks, movement, or low spots that hold water. If the base is failing, we won’t just cover it — we’ll repair or rebuild what’s needed first so the resin footpath doesn’t dip, crack, or lift over time.

A properly installed resin footpath is designed for safe everyday use, including in wet conditions. The key is the right surface finish and correct installation. Like any outdoor surface, heavy algae or leaf build-up can make it slippery, but with simple maintenance (light cleaning and keeping it clear) it stays safe and comfortable underfoot.

Most resin footpaths are completed within 1 to 2 days, depending on length, access, edging, and how much preparation is needed. If excavation or base work is required, it can take longer. We’ll tell you the realistic timeframe upfront, and we’ll plan the job so you’re not left without access longer than necessary.

Maintenance is simple. A regular sweep and an occasional rinse is usually enough to keep it looking clean. If the path is in a shaded area, we may recommend a gentle wash now and then to prevent moss or algae build-up. We’ll give you straightforward aftercare guidance once the install is complete so the footpath stays tidy year-round.
